In 2019:

We spent 216857 minutes on 1o1s, donated ~36 millions IDR to the post-it notes company, called 2021 prospective research participants, and spent countless hours to waiting for Abstract to sync.

We also still had an ongoing battle of “copy or not copy design”, struggled on how to translate research insights into actionable design recommendations, and suffered “Thanos incident”.

2019 was without a doubt an exciting year. Despite the many twists and turns, we survived!

Back in 2018, we published “Our 2018 in Numbers” and we found it to be an engaging way to look back at how far we’ve come. For 2019, we doubled down on the initiative by shining the spotlight behind the numbers onto you, the people that make Bukalapak a great place to work. Through it all we exposed some enlightening commentaries and 11 hot topics that defined the year.

Besides acting as a shameless plug for how awesome this team is (#beingHonestHere #weAreHiring), this initiative allows us to extend our hand to connect with other design teams to share tips, challenges, and solutions, as well as simply remind ourselves that we are not alone in our struggles!

With that being said, you can enjoy the Bukalapak Design in 2019 from this link: bit.ly/BLDSGN2019 and have a great start to the new decade!
